Karen M. Carper, Founder and President

Karen brings a wide variety of experiences from her long career in marketing consulting and advertising. Prior to founding MarketBasics Research, she held executive positions in the advertising industry including Managing Director of Prevision Marketing, and SVP of Karen M. Carper  -  Founder and President, Marketbasics ResearchMarketing Sciences at Hill, Holliday, Cosmopolus, Connonrs—one of Boston’s largest advertising agencies. Prior to that, she had a long career in management consulting including Senior Consultant in the Consumer Products Practice at Arthur D. Little, Inc., and Partner at CSC/Index—the firm that jump-started the trend to reengineer company business processes. Examples of her work are published in the book Reengineering the Corporation by James Champy and Michael Hammer.

Ms. Carper has extensive experience advising companies about how to increase revenues by better meeting customer needs and identifying ways to attract new customers. She holds an M.B.A. from Case-Western Reserve University, and a B.A. in Psychology and English from Hiram College. She is a member of QRCA, AMA, and MRA. She is on the Board of Directors of the New England Marketing Research Association, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary, and Emerson Hospital Corporators Executive Board.
